Trion Worlds Releases First Post Launch Patch For Defiance

Posted on April 12, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Trion Worlds released its ambitious, yet lukewarmly received, shooter title Defiance two weeks ago and the developers are already working on their first post-launch patch due out next week. A client side patch will allow players to replay the main story missions after completing them, improving the quality of in-game pop-up menus and allowing voice/text chat channels to be muted independent of each others. These aren’t exactly world changing features but it is nice to see the devs adding new options for those who wish to play the game solo, or mute out annoying kids screaming over their headsets! Disney: Infinity ‘Toy Box’ Trailer Opens Your Creative Mind

Posted on April 12, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Disney looks to take aim at the Skylanders market when it releases Disney Infinity August 18th, 2013.  I don’t want to go as far to say that Disney Infinity is a complete clone of the Skylanders franchise, but it takes quite a bit from it and builds on to an amazing concept. One of the main differences between the two is in Infinity you can open up the Toy Box (if you’ve played Toy Story 3 you should be somewhat familiar with what it is) and create a whole unique world. Either by building on to already created worlds or

Deep Silver and SouthEnd Interactive are set to release Sacred Citadel next week, Wed. April 17th, for XBLA, PSN, & Steam. Sacred Citadel is part side-scrolling brawler, a bit RPG, and a game you will want to have some co-op buddies around for. There are four different character/classes that you can control (see videos of each after the jump). There is the Safiri Warrior, Khukuri Shaman, Ancarian Ranger, & the Seraphim Mage. It’s pretty obvious where three of

Metro: Last Light Gives Insight On How To Survive

Posted on April 9, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Deep Silver, publishing giant known for the fantastic Dead Island game, has just release a new video to promote their newly acquired IP Metro. This video gives players an idea about survival in Metro: The Last Light and is the first video in three part series. The Metro IP was formerly owned by THQ, but due to it going bankrupt Deep Silver jumped in a bid for the franchise rights. The first game sort of flew under the radar due to poor advertising, but it was a fantastic game. It looks like Deep Silver is fully behind it’s new IP and rightly

Warner Bros latest title in the Arkham series was announced yesterday, Batman: Arkham Origins allows players to explore the roots of the caped crusader. Dead Space 3’s Awakened DLC Is A Great Addition

Posted on April 9, 2013 by Les Major

It took approximately three and a half to four hours for Ghostwalker and I to clear the new Dead Space 3 DLC and we enjoyed the journey! That’s on par with the main campaign considering we got about an hours worth of entertainment out of DS3 for every $3 and change we’d spent on the retail copy. Three and a half hours for $10 is a fair deal in comparison. Want more details? There’s spoilers to come, so be wary!

A Hopeful Look Toward The Future Of Doom 4

Posted on April 8, 2013 by Les Major

After a recent article on Kotaku that makes for good reading, I wanted to throw in my two cents about the mentioned concepts of Doom 4. As many of you by now know, Doom 3 was moreso a retelling of the story of Doom 4. Kotaku’s article mentions that Doom 4 was originally going to be a retelling of Doom 2. Right away that sounds like fantastic news, but it went further than that. As in the second Doom game, this concept would have taken place on Earth. That and it seems the struggle of humans in this new world

Raven’s Cry Hitting Stores In October For PC/Xbox 360

Posted on April 8, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Let’s face it the Pirates of the Caribbean game did not satisfy anyone’s appetite for swashbuckling, plundering booty (yeah…not that booty), and blowing up ships while sailing the Seven Seas. Raven’s Cry tells the story of Christopher Raven who is out for vengeance against the people who murdered his family. Developed by Octane Games and published by TopWare Interactive, Raven’s Cry is looking to hit retail stores October 24th, 2013. It’s about time we finally get a decent looking pirate game…well, with the exception of another good looking pirate game.

North American isn’t the only continent you’ll visit in a finely tuned racing machine in Codemaster’s GRID 2. The publisher unveieled the Grid 2: European Experience today, a brief video showcasing several  European cities playing host to racers in a variety of modes. Battlefield 4 Looks Visually Stunning

Posted on March 27, 2013 by Les Major

EA’s big contender in the FPS genre has released an incredible preview of the latest Battlefield installment. Playing out more as a movie than a video game (through gameplay, not cut scenes mind you) this guided in game tour is filled with so much visual candy it’s hard at times to remember this isn’t real. From the suns glare to many of the videos other small details that really boost the immersion it’s a absolute treat to behold. It’s definitely worth checking out the video. As lengthy as it is I found myself quite eagerly watching the whole presentation. Battlefield
