Disney and EA Announce Multi-Year Star Wars Games Partnership

Posted on May 6, 2013 by Joshua Rust

The House Of Mouse and publishing giant Electronic Arts have agreed to multi-game and multiyear agreement that will put the Star Wars brand in the hands of studios like Visceral, DICE, & Bioware. Of course Bioware is no stranger as they have put out one of the best Star Wars games ever created, in my opinion, Star Wars: The Knights Of The Old Republic. No, I’m not talking about that MMO one either. Unfortunately, I don’t think this means that the impressive and promising Star Wars 1313 game will be resurrected – but one can hope. Electronic Arts will be

Twitch TV channel, Past to Present (P to P) decided to celebrate the popular sci-fi staple by live streaming over an hour of new content from a pre-alpha build of the cancelled combat game. Hellraid Is Dead Island Developer’s New Game, Coming This Year

Posted on April 30, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Dead Island developer Techland has announced it will be launching a new IP later this year titled: Hellraid.  From what I can gather it’s a mix of Dead Island’s combat style mixed up with some might and magic set in a dark universe. With Dead Island: Riptide just being released, it came as a bit of a surprise that Techland would announce another game so soon…but seeing how it’s slated to release on Xbox 360, PS3, & PC this year it shouldn’t be a surprise because it’s obviously been in development for some time.

Voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, Will Not Return In Arkam Origins

Posted on April 29, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Fans of Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman – since the 1990s animated series, will be disappointed that he will not be reprising his role as The Dark Knight in the latest game, Batman: Arkham Origins.  This report originates from South African magazine NAG, which claims that “[Warner Bros. wants] to use a new younger actor because the game features Batman in his early years”. Batman: Arkham Origins was unveiled earlier this month and tells the story of the early days of the caped crusader, capturing his first interactions with some of his most famous rivals. Development of Origins is underway

Call of Duty: Ghosts Spotted In Multiple Retail Advertisements

Posted on April 24, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Call of Duty Ghosts seemed to vanish from the rumor mill for the last few weeks, but all of that has changed with multiple retailers mentioning the game in new advertisements. Both the U.S based Target and U.K based Tesmo featured the game predominately in their latest fliers. We’ve learned that the game could be released on November 5th with a suggested retail price of $59.99. Supposedly Call of Duty Ghosts will take place in a near future society that is forced to use modern weapons due to some kind of catastrophe. Apparently the game may also make modifications to

Bethesda Teases New Video Game, Reveal Tomorrow

Posted on April 18, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Bethesda, for the past few days, have released some really weird teaser clips for their next game. Announced today that the full reveal will in fact be tomorrow (April 19th, 2013), we can’t wait to see what they got up their sleeve. I know I personally am looking forward to the next Fallout game, but I’d gladly welcome any new franchise that they want to put out. The first video features a spinning record, the second features burning flowers and a mystery background person, and the latest one features a shadow creeping around… Can anyone make any sense of these

New State Of Decay Video Creeps In

Posted on April 16, 2013 by Joshua Rust

Undead Labs and Microsoft Studios have at least narrowed down the month for which the upcoming zombie survival game State Of Decay will release. June. I’m not sure if they are pushing for this to be in the yearly held Microsoft “Summer Of Arcade”, but it could be quite possible. To go along with the tentative release date, Undead Labs has also released a new video for State Of Decay…

SEGA Reveals Disney’s Castle of Illusion

Posted on April 15, 2013 by Jason Nason

SEGA revealed a new teaser trailer for Disney’s Castle of Illusion, starring Mickey Mouse, today. The teaser is an expanded look at an uber teaser they released last week. And while the game looks like it could be something to see, the most notable thing that I can see is the omission of Nintendo platforms for the game’s release. The original Castle of Illusion was a a platformer game developed by Sega and released for the Sega Genesis and Sega Master System way back in 1990. That was followed up with a release on Sega’s portable Game Gear system in

Foundry Perspective On Neverwinter

Posted on April 14, 2013 by Les Major

This being the fourth Beta weekend for Neverwinter right now I’ve been eager to get back into the game. I enjoyed the third beta weekend. During the week I did some homework getting to know Cryptic’s Star Trek Online so I could relate between the two games. The two do have their similarities but they are their own games as well. If you haven’t tried out Star Trek yet and you are a fan of the franchise I do recommend it. Even just to see the sights, it’s a fun trip. One thing I didn’t get to try in Neverwinter
