Have you seen the trailer for the new Friday the 13th? I don’t mean the movie, which is due out next February from Paramount Pictures. I mean the game. Yes, there is a game on the way. Like the 2009 film was kind of a modern retelling of the original 1980 film, this is also a modern video game retelling. Heck, the last Friday the 13th game was for the NES way back in 1989! Hideo Kojima Has Left Konami and Kojima Productions

Hideo Kojima, whom has leant his name to Kojima productions, has left Koonami, and his self named studio. This will come as no surprise to most people, after he was asked to step away from his last project (Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain) due to time and budget concerns. A source whom spoke with the New Yorker said a ceremony took place at Kojima studios for his departure, about 100 people attended, and that there was a “rather cheerful but also emotional goodbye.” the source, who wished to remain unnamed, said that he did not see Konami’s president, Hideki Hayakawa, or

Turn-Based Wild West Shooting Game Hard West Releasing November 4th

Developed by CreativeForge Games, a new studio that has made exactly one game before this which I hadn’t heard of before googling them, Hard West is a strange beast. With a gameplay style shown in trailers that is reminiscent of the highly underrated Shadowrun Returns and a rather unique setting for a tactical game, this has been one I’ve been keeping an eye on for a while. And now it’s finally coming out November 4th!

Ubisoft Club Announced

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Tactical Abilities Trailer Goes Live

Activision has posted a short video on their YouTube channel outlining some of the tactical abilities and vision modes that will aid combatants in the game’s online multiplayer. The new two new vision modes include: Tactical Mode – Allows you to see the distance enemies are away from you as well as the position of snipers and other ordinances on the battlefield. Enhanced Vision – Offers night vision outlining the map and surrounding area. Enemies and Allies will also be highlighted. Overwatch Beta Details Emerge

Blizzard’s team based First Person Shooter Overwatch will have its first beta go live for select players on October IGN has reported. Like most of Blizzards initial beta tests this version of Overwatch is subject to change – including major system overhauls and is not open to the general public. In terms of features the initial offerings will include seven different maps and 18 different heroes for players to mess around with. EA Announces That There Will Be No Voice Chat In Star Wars Battlefront

EA is keeping the Star Wars hype alive by trickling out a steady stream of news about the final release of Star Wars Battlefront. The latest bit of news is to say the least controversial, EA today through a series of tweets confirmed there will be no “ingame” chat in Battle Front. EA’s Star Wars Battlefront Beta Surpassed 9 Million Users

Whether they jumped on for a short time and hated it or loved it and stuck it through the entire beta phase, the game’s senior producer, Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, revealed the the beta is officially the largest open beta in Electronic Arts history by accruing over nine million active users through the course of its tenure.
