Let’s Take A Look At Halo: Online For PC

Posted on January 25, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Halo Online
Halo 3 was one of the definitive online experiences I got to spend hundred of hours in during the last generation of consoles. Released during my first year of college I can’t recall the number of nights that I spent with friends fragging each other, laughing and getting unfortunately cussed out on Xbox Live until the sun came up. When Microsoft announced that they were going to release a free-to-play FPS based upon the Halo 3 multiplayer suite for PC I was excited – only to find out that the game would be region locked to Russia Only.

Broken Deals: FFXIV, PSN Flash Sale, Sonic & More

Posted on January 22, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

The weekend is finally here – a time for most of us to kick back, relax and possibly catch up on our massive backlog of games. Except with the awesome deals that both Steam and a surprise Sony Flash Sale are offering it is more probably than not that more games will end up in your backlog rather than being completed. Some of the highlights include: 30 Days of game time with the fantastic FFXIV for $10.99 CDN, Sonic Generations for less than $10 CDN – which is a steal by the way every Sonic fan should play this game,

A Few Things You Learn When Buying A Used Oculus Rift Off Of Kijiji

Posted on January 19, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Two weeks ago while pursuing the online computer classifieds I came across something I didn’t think I’d see locally for some time, an Oculus VR headset at a reasonable price. After the announcement that Oculus wanted $600 USD for the upcoming consumer version (known as CV1 in the Oculus community) I figured my dreams of trying modern VR were all but washed away, except for maybe the odd industry convention for the foreseeable future. Here are three things that I’ve learned after acquiring and using my Oculus DK1 for more than a week.

First thing I’ve noticed, is it’s either because of the board layouts for the two, or my eyes

Posted on January 17, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Homeworld Deserts of Kharak
The latest Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak trailers contains some rather chilling words from a representative of the antagonistic Gaalsien fleet… “Diplomacy has failed!” It seems as if the forces that chief science officer Rachel S’jet will face in the game’s campaign as she attempts to explore the mystery of an anomaly in the deserts of Kharak are more than ready for a fight. Kath Gaalsien are a major religious sect and antagonists of this latest game, who have existed on the planet of Kharak ever since the Kushan settled on Kharak after being exiled from their former planet in the
