Posted on April 9, 2017 by Meghan Kass

Telltale Games has come out with the newest episode in their Walking Dead series. While the two part opener was good, it needed to really develop our new protagonist in order to live up to the love that the games built up for Clementine or even Lee. Javier is certainly not unlikable, but can Telltale continue its line up of strong protagonists? Can they build up Javier without neglecting Clementine? How will the story of Javier’s group progress and what will be learned about this New Frontier? This mid season episode has a lot of answers and story to unbox.

Tactics Alexander Savagely Gives Us a Taste of 16-Bit FFXIV

Posted on April 2, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

April Fools Day may have come and gone but the Final Fantasy XIV team produced one of the most obvious yet fantastic pranks this year.  Titled Alexander Tactics: Savage this fake game features recognizable encounters, monsters and NPCS from FFXIV Heavanswards’ raid content and adapts them in the style of Final Fantasy Tactics. I had no clue I needed this in my life but the idea of playing XIV’s raid content on the go with retro style graphics and turned based combat sounds absolutely awesome. Split into four distinct wings – Gordias, Midas, The Creator – the Alexander raids provide

The latest champion revealed for Bethesda / id Software’s Free-to-play FPS Quake Champions is Anarki – a hover board skating, transhumanism punk who appears to embrace the 90s surfer attitude alongside old school FPS action. Anarki’s active ability is health injection which allows him to gain a temporary health boost, which would be great to use right after taking a rocket to the fact. His passive, Hoverboard Air Control appears to allow him to traverse small distances on his hover board at an increased speed.
