Posted on August 20, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Wait games release on Sundays? Well they do, if you happen to be a fan of Nintendo’s first party titles. Alongside Mario’s latest adventure, New Super Mario Bros 2, Ninty also left fans a present in the form of the 3DS XL. If there was a Sunday that could take half a week’s pay, it’d be August 19th! The 3DS XL boasts a better view angle for both 3D and multiple players, a 90% larger screen and rounder edges, making the handheld easier on the palms during extended periods of play. The system retails for $1999 USD, $30 than the

Avengers: Battle For Earth GamesCon 2012 Trailer

Posted on August 15, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Avengers: Battle For Earth has me sitting on the proverbial fence. One one side, the comic nerd in me, wants this game so badly because a Marvel Comics game has never been able to be played this way. There-in lies the other side of the fence. The Kinect Only has always been a hit or miss when it comes to Kinect games. I won’t this game completely as I have not seen the first bit of gameplay for it. But normally the Kinect games are really good (such asKinect Sports)or just awful. There’s normally an absence of middle ground. With that

Celebrate The Olympics With NBA 2K13

Posted on August 15, 2012 by Seung Lee

It’s the 20th anniversary of the USA’s “Dream Team” for the Basketball event at the Olympics, and 2K Games is celebrating by including the 1992 and 2012 teams in NBA 2K13. Jay-Z, the executive producer behind 2K13, states that he made the decision to have these two crews in the game so that people could settle “one of the greatest sports debates of our time.” I’ve never heard people hype up the 2012 team, and probably for good reason. You just can’t compete against people like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Scottie Pippen. Although, Pippen appears to be

Rumor: Amazon Leaks WiiU Box Art

Posted on August 7, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

There are still a lot of things we don’t know about Nintendo’s upcoming WiiU including the device’s price, how much the games will cost and what their box art will look like. One of these deep burning might have been answered thanks to several Amazon listings. If the box art listed on Amazon for Avengers Battle for Earth and Assassins Creed III are accurate than the WiiU Box art looks very similar to the GameCube’s box art, color scheme notwithstanding. The supposed WiiU box’s sport a baby blue header with white “Wii U” branding and a yellow border separating the

wiiu
Amazon actually has what might be the covers for Wii U games. Assassin’s Creed III and Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth‘s covers both have yellow curves, with a blue border above and the Wii U logo. These may very well be placeholders, so don’t completely freak out just yet. We’ll keep you updated as more info comes in about the Wii U. Until then, you can check out Amazon’s boxshot of Assassin’s Creed III for yourself here.

Personally, I’m not sure why this is necessary, but the DSi is receiving two new colors: matte red and matte blue. A tweet from Nintendo of America states that these new colored handhelds could be in the stores “as early as this week.” Take my advice and opt to buy a 3DS instead. Check out the DSi at http://www.nintendo.com/ds/. Video Game Music – Volume 1

Posted on June 26, 2012 by Jason Bassett

There is a number of different elements that make up a video game. One is obviously the gameplay. Two would be the pretty images that you see on your screen. But there is one area where many people are finally getting to notice: the music. Video game music has, for a long time, but one of my most favorite parts of a video game. Of course, this applies to movies as well, but video games have been truly unique in the way music has been presented over the years. So much, that a music genre spawned from the type of
