Footage of LucasArts’ Cancelled Darth Maul Game Leaked

The recently shuttered LucasArts had a last generation title in production centered around Darth Maul – the Sith lord who will ever been linked with one of the few awesome fight scenes in the prequel trilogy and of course double bladed light sabers. Footage from an unfinished build has made its way on to YouTube, alongside details in the May issue of Game Informer.

New Super Smash Bros. Direct Details

A new Nintendo Direct video today revealed a ton of new details about the upcoming Super Smash Bros. video games for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Series creator Masahiro Sakurai hosted the video and announced that the launches of the games will be in different launch windows. The Nintendo 3DS version of the game is planned for a release this summer, while the Wii U version is planned for a winter 2014 release window. NES Remix 2 is on the way and I have to admit, I’m excited! Growing up, my friends and I would always go on about ideas like this. Specifically I remember us talking about a more 16-bit Final Fantasy battler that was quite similar to the concept of Dissidia. I didn’t know what to think when the original NES Remix was released as a huge surprise during a Nintendo Direct announcement. I’d actually hopped on Twitch to see someone else playing it and instantly I wanted to give it a go. So what can we expect for the sequel?

Eager for more news on Super Smash Bros. the latest in the series coming to both Wii U and 3DS? Nintendo does confirm these will be new details. Any speculation on what could be coming our way? Teyon Set to Release Governor of Poker on April 10th

Teyon and Youdagames have announced their upcoming title, Governor of Poker, will be released on the Nintendo 3DS next week. The game will be available via the Nintendo eShop in both North America and Europe as of April 10 for $4.99 and €4.99 respectively. Club Nintendo Rewards – February 2014

The month of February brings four new downloadable game rewards for Club Nintendo members, including Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. The game is one of two Virtual Console titles that are available for the Nintendo Wii/Wii U, the other is classic Nintendo title Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream. The two other games for the Nintendo 3DS include Virtual Console title Donkey Kong Jr. and DSiWare title Art Style: PiCTOBiTS. All four titles are available until March 9th, 2014.

Transformers: Rise Of The Dark Spark Announced

Today at the New York Toy Fair Activision announced a new Transformers video game, presumably to coincide with the release of the next Transformers movie, titled Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. With unfortunate layoffs at High Moon Studios, it appears that the new Transformers game will be in a new developers’ hands: Edge of Reality (whom is most memorable for The Incredible Hulk tie-in). Mario Golf: World Tour Tees Off May 2nd

Nintendo revealed the release date for their upcoming sports title Mario Golf: World Tour during the Nintendo Direct on Thursday. The game, which continues the legacy of Mario-themed sports titles, will tee off in stores and in the Nintendo 3DS eShop on May 2nd. You can of course tee off as your favorite Mario character but you can also play as your Mii character as well while challenging players online.
