The end is near. The final new weapon will splash into Splatoon today making a total of 74 weapons available in the game. The final weapon is called the Custom Hydra Splatling and will arrive tomorrow. While no time was mentioned in the announcement, the last weapon was released at 9:00pm so that is likely the time that the new weapon will be released. Fans of Splatoon have had a great run of original DLC being released for the game, and kudos to Nintendo for keeping the content coming and keeping it free. Many games go the DLC route and

Posted on January 14, 2016 by Jason Nason

With the first Dementium Remastered barely cooling on the Nintendo 3DS since its release last month, today we have gotten word that the remastered sequel Dementium II may also be close to a release. Jools Watsham stated on his latest Random Waffles Vlog today that ideally they hope to have Dementium II Remastered done and submitted for lot check by February. If all goes well the game could hopefully hit the Nintendo 3DS eShop sometime in March. The game will retail for $14.99 like the original remastered game. Very exciting news.

Witch & Hero 2 Nearing Completion

Posted on January 12, 2016 by Jason Nason

Released over a year ago now, the original Witch & Hero was highly enjoyed by us. So much so that it got a 10/10 rating. The sequel, developed again by FlyHigh Works, is nearly ready for release in North America. Circle Entertainment, who is again publishing the game in North America, shared that the English translation is nearly complete and have hinted at some surprising secret content. We’re looking forward to seeing the sequel though no release date has been set.

Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympics Gets a release date

Posted on January 12, 2016 by Jason Nason

Nintendo announced the release date for the next installment of the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series. The game will be released on the Nintendo 3DS on March 18th, 2016. Interestingly the release date for the Wii U version of the game is stated to be “later this year.” Also interesting is that the page for the Wii U game on Nintendo.com doesn’t have a box shot but instead has an image indicitive of a digital only release. Could the Wii U version of the game be skipping stores and being released strictly via digital?

Want to feel old? This year marks the 20th anniversary of Pokémon. It is crazy how quickly twenty years have passed since Pikachu captured the hearts of so many children. Still releasing games, trading cards, new anime series, manga, and more. What do you do when you have such a huge fan base after so many years? You give back to the ones who made you into what you are today! #Pokemon20 is just the tip of

Don’t Open That Shovel Knight amiibo Collectors

Posted on January 9, 2016 by Les Major

Shovel Knight amiibo
Surprisingly enough, unlike seemingly all other amiibo figures, Shovel Knight is useable through the packaging! So if you’re a collector of amiibo figures, you can keep Shovel Knight secure in his box and still use those neat new features available from using him. Isn’t that great? This is currently what we’ve seen from the first release Shovel Knight amiibos. It seems to just feature two cardboard flaps at the bottom and no NFC inhibiting foil piece. So what else can you do with Yacht Club Games hero’s amiibo that was just released today? Let’s take a look at the details.

Second and Third Series Animal Crossing amiibo Cards

Posted on January 7, 2016 by Jason Nason

The second series of Animal Crossing amiibo cards will be released in North America on January 22nd but the third series are almost out in Japan. Before we get our hands on series 2 the third set of 100 cards will be available in Japan. One week before to be exact. While I’m still working to collect all 100 from the first series, I thought I’d share a few images of the second and third series of cards. These are the Japanese cards from the Nintendo of Japan website. Enjoy.

Petite Novel Series – Harvest December | Review

Posted on January 7, 2016 by Jason Nason

For a number of reasons this review has been challenging and for those same reasons this review will actually have to be a two-part review. The first part of the review is based on the software itself while the second part based on the story. It’s an odd way to do the review, but hear me out. Petit Novel series – Harvest December is a collection of 13 stories set in the small, snowy town of Tagami. Follow Masaki Konno, a teenager prone to falling into sticky situations through his last year of high school. Each month is a new
