Third Wave of Animal Crossing and more amiibo Coming in March

On March 18th, new amiibo figures in the Animal Crossing series will launch in stores, including characters like Timmy & Tommy, Kapp’n and Rover. The Digby amiibo, which was only available packaged with Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, will also be made available as a stand-alone amiibo. The next series of Animal Crossing amiibo cards also launches in March, bringing the grand total of available amiibo cards to be used in games like Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival for Wii U and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer for Nintendo 3DS to a whopping 300.

The Nintendo NX is coming. The Nintendo NX is coming. Or at least that’s what the hype is online recently. While there have been a total of zero confirmed details surrounding Nintendo’s newest home console, a recent survey surfaced recently that has been making the rounds online. The leaked survey, from GFK, details much of what could be features for the NX. Note that the below details are merely rumour and Nintendo has not announced anything solid as of yet.

Twilight Princess HD amiibo Functionality Detailed

When The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD launches on March 4th it will include a Wolf Link amiibo figure based on the same character from the classic game. When tapped to the Wii U GamePad controller, the Wolf Link amiibo will open the Cave of Shadows, a challenging new bonus dungeon in the game. SEGA Revives 9 Classic Games For SEGA 3D Classics Collections

SEGA of America teased a brand new reveal coming today on their official twitter account and today the publisher announced that they will be reviving 9 of their classic Genesis titles for the SEGA 3D Classic Collection. As the title suggests 9 of the companies classic games including well known titles like the original Sonic The Hedgehog and Altered Beast will be available in a physical cartridge for the Nintendo 3DS. Fire Emblem Fates Special New Nintendo 3DS XL Coming February 19th

Nintendo provided new details about several of its upcoming role-playing games for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems on Tuesday. New Screens and Date for Bravely Second: End Layer

When Bravely Second: End Layer launches exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS on April 15th, a Collector’s Edition will also launch alongside it at a suggested retail price of $69.99. The Collector’s Edition includes the massive game, a 10-song original soundtrack and gorgeous 250-page deluxe art book. A demo version of the game, Bravely Second: End Layer – The Ballad of the Three Cavaliers, will launch in the Nintendo eShop prior to the full game’s launch. This demo includes a unique story different than the one found in Bravely Second: End Layer, as well as new jobs and areas to explore.

Circle Hints at Several New Games

Circle Entertainment confirmed and teased a few things recently via their Twitter account. One of the first things mentioned is that a new game is on the horizen. The game, thus far untitled but referred to as a “Japanese adventure story game” has approved at lotcheck by Nintendo of America. The game is pending approval with Nintendo of Europe. Also mentioned is a 3DS port of a game called Toy Defense. That game could be the Toy Defence game that is currently available via Google Play, though that’s not confirmed as of yet. Final Fantasy Explorers Launches Next Tuesday

Next Tuesday, players will be able to transform into 11 classic FINAL FANTASY characters featured in the upcoming multiplayer action role-playing adventure FINAL FANTASY EXPLORERS. Telltale Games and developer Mojang announced today that Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series will be coming to the Nintendo Wii U on Thursday, January 21st with the first episode, ‘The Order of the Stone.’ The title will launch in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U in North America and Europe for $4.99. Pokkén Tournament launches for Wii U on March 18th

The wait is almost over. Nintendo announced today that Pokkén Tournament, the upcoming game that lets players battle as prized Pokémon in fighting arenas, will launch exclusively for Wii U on March 18 at a suggested retail price of $59.99. Pokkén Tournament brings high-definition game play and over-the-top action to never-before-seen battles between some of the most recognizable Pokémon characters. People that buy the first production run version of the game will also receive a special Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card, which can be tapped to the Wii U GamePad controller to unlock the Shadow Mewtwo playable character in the game.
