“Arms” Surprises As One Of The Best Games At Switch Press Event

We’ve all seen the footage from the Nintendo Switch Reveal. Gamers have questioned just what was going to be worthwhile with this new console. Was it going to be the big new thing? Then there’s all that footage of that wacky game “Arms” with various boxing fighters with extendable arms! What in the WORLD is going on? So today I got to check out the Nintendo Switch at a press event in downtown Toronto. Of course I was skeptical of Arms but I wanted to give it a go. Tank Troopers dated for eShop on February 16th

Nintendo has announced the release date of their new Nintendo 3DS eShop title Tank Troopers. The game, which feels reminiscent of the GameCube title Battalion Wars, will be released exclusively in the eShop on February 16th. This game lets players customize their tank through special characteristics of tank-pilot Troopers, enabling abilities such as hitting enemies with a freeze attack, launching paint balls to block the opponents’ views or using electric shocks to stall rival tanks where they stand. The game will offer a six-person multiplayer mode, along with Download Play as well.

Xbox One’s Snap Mode Is No More

Microsoft’s Xbox One console will lose its once touted Snap feature in the next major dashboard update in order to streamline performance. Snap allowed users to use a minimalized version of apps such as a live television guide while watching TV, bring up internet explorer or bring up friend lists or other social functions. Explaining on twitter, Xbox honcho Mike Ybarra stated that this move will lead to overall system performance and speed by freeing up resources. Nintendo announced a new Pokémon inspired New Nintendo 3DS XL today. The Pikachu Yellow Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL will be released on February 24th. The electrifying new design for the New Nintendo 3DS XL hardware will hit store shelves with the colorful yellow system sporting a charming drawing of popular Pokémon Pikachu on the cover. Mario Sports Superstars amiibo on the way

Mario Sports Superstars will launch for the Nintendo 3DS on March 24th and offers five full-featured sports like Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Baseball and, for the first time in a Mario sports game, Horse Racing. Pokémon Bank updated to support Sun and Moon

Pokémon Bank was updated late today and now supports Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, making it easy to transfer Pokémon from multiple copies of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon — including the downloadable versions — to a single game! Also updated is the ability to transfer Pokémon you’ve caught in the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow into your Sun or Moon. Pokémon from Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, and Pokémon Y can also be brought into Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon in the same way.

XSEED Games announced on Friday that the latest iteration in its farming and life simulation series, Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns, will launch in North America for Nintendo 3DS on February 28th, 2017. The game has a suggested retail price of $39.99 USD. The company also revealed that costumes and headgear based on fan-favorite characters Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad from the Super Mario Bros. franchise will make a special appearance in the game.

Nintendo surprised Fire Emblem fans today via a Nintendo Direct announcement with news of multiple new games. Parascientific Escape sequel approved by NOA, set to release soon

Circle Entertainment announced today via social media that the sequel to Parascientific Escape has been approved by Nintendo of America lotcheck, which means that the game could be released very soon. Shin Megami Tensei Direct scheduled for Wednesday; games upcoming to Switch and 3DS

One of the surprise announcements during the Nintendo Switch livestream event, Atlus revealed that a new HD title in its long-running hardcore RPG franchise, Shin Megami Tensei will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. The new game, which is known only with the placeholder moniker Shin Megami Tensei Brand New Title, will be released on the Nintendo Switch. No release date has been revealed yet. GameStop USA Has Already Run Out of Nintendo Switch Pre-Orders

Getting your hands on a Nintendo Switch pre-order might be a little harder in the United States as GameStop USA has announced that they have reserved all units in their first allotment from Ninty. It took them just two days to burn through whatever % of the expected two million units that they were allocated for the March 3rd street date. Puyo Puyo Tetris coming to PS4 and Switch this Spring

Two puzzle game juggernauts collide as Tetris, one of the largest-selling and recognized brands in gaming history, and Puyo Puyo from SEGA have combined to create a fun-to-play, fast-paced, competitive party game like no other!
