GameCube Classic Luigi’s Mansion Being Remade For 3DS

Posted on March 15, 2018 by Rae Michelle Richards

Revealed during last week’s Nintendo Direct presentation, the classic GameCube launch title Luigi’s Mansion is being remade for the Nintendo 3DS. It has been 17 years since Mario’s brother strapped on the Poltergust 3000 vacuum cleaner in a bid to clean up the mansion of spirits in order to free Mario. This remake will feature the same levels and gameplay that made the original such an odd but delightful departure from the series formula. It also has some really cool 90s era Nintendo throwbacks like the “Game Boy Horror” used by Professor E-Gad resembling the design of the Gameboy Color,

Dandara Review | Nintendo Switch Review

Posted on March 14, 2018 by Meghan Kass

Publisher Raw Fury and developer Long Hat House have come together to give us quite the indie game. Dandara is a Metroidvania style game with focus on exploration and 2D action-adventure gameplay and while this may seem a bit commonplace and trendy, Dandara caught my attention in a big way with its concept, character development and world building. Originally released for the iphone in December of last year, this metroidvania inspired game makes the leap on to the Nintendo Switch. Dandara’s concept is loosely based on the story of an Afro-Brazilian warrior who fought aside men against slavery during the

Octo-expansion coming to Splatoon 2

Posted on March 12, 2018 by Jason Nason

A new single-player expansion is coming to Splatoon 2. The first paid DLC is coming to Splatoon 2 this summer and it’s a big one. One of the things that I’ve been hoping for with the second Splatoon title was the ability to play as an Octoling. That is going to be possible thanks to the new expansion. Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion adds a hefty new single-player mode that lets players play as new character Agent 8, an Octoling with lost memories. The new single-player campaign features 80 missions, as well as new stories that shed new light on beloved

Nintendo Lands Some Back Spin With New Mario Tennis Aces Details

Posted on March 9, 2018 by Rae Michelle Richards

Yesterday during the absolutely massive Nintendo Direct presentation (which pretty much broke the internet thanks to the announcement of Super Smash Bros for Nintendo Switch) Nintendo also outlined a lot of the larger titles coming to Switch in the first half of the year. One of the games ready to be served up is Mario Tennis Aces. Mario is about to share the court with Luigui, Wario, Peach, Rosalina, Wuluigi, Daisy, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Toad, Toadette and even a freaking Chain-Chomp that adorably holds its tennis racket in its mouth. In all there are 15 unique characters available to choose

Super Smash Bros. coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018

Posted on March 8, 2018 by Jason Nason

Nintendo released a ton of new information during their latest Nintendo Direct, which we’ll break down more soon. The big suprise reveal is that a Super Smash Bros. game is in the works for Nintendo’s latest console. The reveal came in the form of a trailer at the end of the presentation, which was a surprise because it was previously stated that the Wii U / 3DS games in 2014 would be the last in the series. But who believed that? The teaser trailer doesn’t really give any details on if the game is brand new or a remake of

Animal Crossing on Switch – What we’d like to see

Posted on March 7, 2018 by Jason Nason

It’s hard to believe that Animal Crossing has been around for nearly 20 years. The original game was released for the Nintendo 64 in Japan on April 14th, 2001. Can anyone say “Animal Crossing Day?” The game was enhanced and re-released for the GameCube in December 2001 and was later released in North America on September 15th, 2002. With Nintendo’s planned Nintendo Direct scheduled for tomorrow, there are bound to be new game announcements for the back half of 2018. Nintendo has already confirmed that tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct will include information on upcoming Switch titles. Could an announcement for a new

Worms WMD | Review

Posted on February 22, 2018 by Meghan Kass

Worms W.M.D, developed and published by Team 17 is a turn-based artillery tactics game released for the Nintendo Switch. While very similar to another game in the Worms series, such as Worms Armageddon, the question becomes “will this game stand out enough on its own?” and “how well would a Worms title do on the Switch?”. With a large selection of missions and a new multiplayer mode, let’s take a deeper look at this game and see if it is truly explosive as its marketing made it out to be. While I was never the biggest fan of the series,
