Kid Icarus Multiplayer Tour Set To Sweep Europe

Nintendo has announced a series of multiplayer challenge events for Kid Icarus Uprising set to sweep across Europe during late April and early May. Do you think you have what it takes to take on the Kid Icarus Battle Squad? The big N will be giving away free posters to everyone who challenges the squad of professional gamers. Those players who are successful in defeating members of the squad will be awarded with special edition AR cards featuring artwork from the game. Kirby 20th Anniversary Collection Coming

In the Japanese only Nintendo Direct webcast hosted by Satoru Iwata on April 21st, he announced that we will see the release of a Kirby compilation disk featuring a mixture of games from his career. It is unknown which games or more specifically, when the collection will be available. Also announced, they will be making more Kirby available than before with related material through Club Nintendo and the possibility of more downloadable titles on the 3DS eShop. 3D Classics: Kirby’s Adventure released on the platform November of last year. Nintendo Announces New Super Mario Bros 2, Coming This August

The third entry in the New Super Mario Bros series was announced this evening by Nintendo via streaming conference. Super Mario Bros 2 will be released this August in Japan according to Nintendo president Satoru Iwata. Alongside the announcement and the reveal of the game’s logo, which you can check out above, a few screenshots are making the rounds/ Interestingly the game seems to be inspired by the classic Super Mario Bros 3 (1990, NES). Miyamoto Confirms Super Mario Land 4 In Development

When gaming legend Shigeru Miyamoto speaks the entire gaming landscape pauses for a second and listens. With rumors circulating that Super Mario 4 would be announced this year, more than 20 years after the release of Super Mario 3 on the Nintendo Entertainment System, people took notice. Speaking to Korean website BetaNews the man himself confirmed that the game was under development. Darksiders II Delayed Until August

It won’t be until August now when we see Vigil Game’s highly anticipated sequel, Darksiders II. The game will be facing a two month delay from its initial release date at the end of June, so we will be seeing the title hit shelves sometime in August. Pokemon/Strategy RPG Crossover Heading Stateside

Tecmo Koei’s strategy RPG crossover with those adorable Pocket Monsters, Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition, will be heading stateside this June. The game will receive a name change coming to North America as Pokémon Conquest. While Nintendo will be handling the publishing the game was actually developed by Tecmo, whose long time Nobunaga’s Ambition franchise has been ongoing since 1983 and has seen releases on various platforms over the years including the Sega Genesis, Playstation 1 &2 and now the Nintendo DS.

Darksiders Dev: Wii U Comparable to 360, PS3

The hardware under the Wii U’s hood has been kept under wraps since Nintendo unveiled the console this past June. Speaking to Develop Vigil Game’s Marvin Donald says that the Wii U graphical prowess is on par with what we have experienced with the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. “So far the [Wii U] hardware’s been on par with what we have with the current generations” said Donald to Develop.
