Just Cause 2 Muliplayer Mod Impresses

There are many reasons to enjoy the open-word extravaganza that is Just Cause 2.  They include, but are certainly not limited to, flying behind a gas canister that you’ve grappled onto after shooting it, taking insane base-jumping feats to the next level by adding guns into the mix, driving cars off cliffs with hilarious and oftentimes spectacular results, and of course that floating club that everyone’s been raving about.  One thing many a gamer was clamoring for, however, was a multiplayer mode.  Well, wonder no more!

Apple Introduces New Retina Display Macbooks

At the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco Apple announced the latest version of their Macbook Air and Macbook Pro notebooks. Along with new hardware under the hood Apple also includes their impressive Retina displays in some of their new models. The brand new Macbook Air will come in 11 inch and 13 inch flavors featuring Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors running as fast as 2.0GHZ with USB 3.0 and up to 512GB of flash storage. SEGA Shutting Down Xbox 360 Phantasy Star Servers

The lights will finally go out for SEGA’s Phantasy Star Universe on September 7th, just three short months from now. The Xbox 360 version of the game is actually the last of three released (the game also came out for PS2 and PC) to support online play but that is about to come to an end. The shutdown of the PSU servers is certainly a blow for the small but dedicated community who have kept the game going all of these years. SEGA did issue a brief statement about the shutdown on their official forums:

Soul Sacrifice E3 Trailer

Sony has released the first trailer for upcoming action role playing game Soul Sacrifice. This Vita title is hardly your average high fantasy fare, sure it features heroes adorned in leather armor sporting broad swords but it’s magic system is what sets it apart. Instead of the usual magic points represented by a meter on screen that were used too, Soul Sacrifice requires the player make a sacrifice in order to use their magical abilities. Castlevania Mirror of Fate Announced for 3DS

Even our handhelds are safe from Konami’s re-imagining of the Castlevania series with the announcement of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate for the Nintendo 3DS. Mirror of Fate is a prequel to the recently announced Castlevania  lords of Shadow 2 and casts the player in the role of multiple characters. I again promises to feature many different magical abilities and signature weapons that the series is known for, and as a first for a handheld Castlevania game, Mirror of Fate will use 3D art instead of the traditional 2-D artwork used in previous handheld entries. Zombi U Detailed At E3

Ubisoft revealed more details for Zombi U, their Wii U-exclusive zombie title aimed at the hardcore audience. According to Ubisoft, “One bite and you’re dead”. The game features elements that employ use of the Wii U Gamepad, such as unique HUDs, hacking of doors, and aiming into the sights and scopes of various weapons. No release date was given.

Paper Mario, Luigi’s Mansion 3DS Coming This Holiday

Nintendo showed off their newest version of Paper Mario today at E3, titled Paper Mario: Sticker Star, as well as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. Paper Mario works by collecting stickers throughout the world, which are used as battle commands. Luigi’s Mansion looks to play like the previous Luigi’s Mansion game launched in 2001. Both games were confirmed for a Holiday 2012 launch.

NintendoLand Announced At E3

Nintendo announced during their E3 Press Briefing a new title for Wii U, called NintendoLand. Developed to be the “game that makes you understand the Wii U,” Nintendoland is a party game that features your Mii exploring a Nintendo theme park, loaded with attractions and games to play that tie to various Nintendo franchises. Nintendo aims for the game to be fun for both multiplayer and single player gamers, and will tie in closely with Miiverse, Nintendo’s online community infrastructure. Lego City: Undercover Confirmed for Wii U

The previously announced Lego City for Wii U now has a subtitle: Undercover. Using the Wii U gamepad, players will be able to access special elements of the game, like communicating with mission leaders and finding criminals. You’ll also be able to assume various roles via disguises. The game has the known humor element that all Lego games have, and appears to be an open-world, HD title. In addition to the Wii U version, a 3DS version was confirmed.

Wii U Fit Announced

Nintendo confirmed today that the Wii Fit franchise is coming to Wii U. Wii Fit U will feature new ways to burn calories via new mini games, as well as the ability to upload data from a “Fit Meter”. The game can be fully played on the Wii U Gamepad, allowing for exercising to continue. My body is ready.

Scribblenauts Unlimited Announced For Wii U

However, the world is more connected and available to explore this time around — and now features a new multiplayer mode. Batman: Arkham City Confirmed for Wii U

Nintendo and Warner Bros. just announced Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition, exclusively for Wii U. The game will feature enhanced gameplay with the Wii U Gamepad, and fully playable Batman and Catwoman. New to the game is BAT mode, which is accessed via the Gamepad and will allow players to play the game in a whole new way. You’re able to use the Gamepad to spray walls with explosives, throw batarangs, as well as many other gadgets
