Paradox Interactive’s latest title War of the Roses, an  online historical action title has a brand new developer diary staring Senior producer Gordon Van Dyke and lead designer Mårten Stormdaas they travel the English countryside scouting out real life locations that influenced the development of the game.

The game’s multiplayer mode allows players to customize their loadouts and classes featuring swords, shields but also  early flintlock weapons and crossbows. A War of Roses takes a bit of liberty with its recreation of English Civil War combat by adding flourishes and finishing moves that give the player sense of drama.

Check out the latest developer diary after the jump and we’ll have more on A War of Roses as it becomes available.
