If you aren’t currently tuned into Hyper RPG!’s Twitch channel, then you’re missing out on great entertainment and all for a good cause. Hyper Rabbit Power Go! (Hyper RPG!) is a brand new Twitch channel that launched yesterday and is in the middle of a 48-hour charity stream for the HALO Foundation.

While Hyper RPG! is focused on showcasing Pacific Northwest gaming, from behind the scene studio tours and interviews to fun gaming sessions with locals, they have a host of guest developers joining for the charity drive, from as far away as the Netherlands with Vlambeer‘s Rami Ismail. Currently, they are engaged in creating a board game to play that’s a Frankenstein creation of various other games.

So far, the channel seems to be a perfect mix of entertainment, information and humor, and the numbers are supporting them, with, at the time of publication, over $33,000 raised for charity. It seems likely that they will hit their $100,000 goal by the end of their 48-hour drive.

With their energetic and charismatic hosts, it’s not hard to see how they have managed to raise such a large sum of money so far; The lead is Zac Eubank, former showrunner of the wildly popular channel Geek and Sundry. And he has quite the set of thrusting moves!

I’ve found myself instantly charmed by the channel and its hosts. And, as someone living in Seattle, I am looking forward to seeing focus on the amazing game industry from this area!

Harebrained Schemes is playing a large role in support of Hyper RPG! by sponsoring the channel. The channel will feature games from Harebrained Schemes, including featuring a dedicated weekly slot for Shadowrun: Corporate SINs in their Monday-Friday, 10 hours a day schedule. Additionally, Emily Gitelman, formerly of Harebrained Schemes, has joined the team as the community manager and strives to make inclusive game and fan spaces while highlighting the game developers of the Pacific Northwest.

I am excited to watch the Hyper RPG! community grow and see how their work helps developers in the Pacific Northwest garner attention and fans of their own!

…and some more thrusting.
