WBGames has decided to delay the Batman: Return To Arkham HD collection that includes enhanced versions of Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Asylum for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Development is being handled by Virtuous Games, porting both titles to Unreal Engine 4 for both generation consoles.

SteveGrayson from WB’s staff posted an official statement on WB Games community forums informing players that the team needed extra to apply polish to the collection. No further release date for Return to Arkham was offered but WB will inform its community as soon as more information is available. Batman: Return To Arkham was originally expected to launch on July 28th.

Here is the full statement from WB:

“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience.  We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready.   We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans. “
