Mega Man Battle Network 6 hits Virtual Console Tomorrow

Posted on March 9, 2016 by Jason Nason

Capcom is bringing another Mega Man game to the Wii U’s Virtual Console tomorrow.

Following in the footsteps of Pokémon in releasing two slightly different versions of the same game at the same time, you can catch up with Capcom’s MEGA MAN BATTLE NETWORK 6 CYBEAST GREGAR and MEGA MAN BATTLE NETWORK 6 CYBEAST FALZAR when they hit the Wii U. In the games you can help Lan and Mega Man tame the Cybeasts and investigate the culprit responsible for their release.

After moving with his family to Cyber City, Lan, with the help of Mega Man, must intervene before Gregar—an ancient creature of enormous power—destroys the network and the world! Game content is the same for both games, but NetNavi chips and other items may differ.

Posted on March 9, 2016 by Jason Nason

Renegade Kid released information via Nintendo Life on Friday that their upcoming title Mutant Mudds Super Challenge will be released in North America, Europe, and Australia on March 17th.

We didn’t get a chance to play the original Mutant Mudds on the Nintendo 3DS, however we did play and review Mutant Mudds Deluxe for the PC and the game was great fun. We also downloaded the Nindie preview of MMSC for the Wii U and played thru the demo of the original 3DS title at length.Read More

Riot Games acquires Radiant Entertainment

Posted on March 9, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Riot games (maker of League of Legends) is not a company you often see in the news. They tend to spend most of their time on League, because its one of the most popular games in the world. So I was surprised to see the news that they had acquired Radiant Entertainment. In a statement Radiant said “We are delighted to announce that Radiant Entertainment has been acquired by Riot Games. At Riot, our developers will continue their mission of building incredible games that speak to us personally as players. You’re probably wondering what this means for our games.”

As for those games, it seems that development of Stonehearth, a Minecraft like block building survival game, will continue, however Rising Thunder is not so lucky. “As for Rising Thunder, the team will start work on a new game that we’re incredibly excited about. We wish we could say more now, but rest assured you’ll hear more when the time is right. For now, we will be permanently closing Rising Thunder on March 18th. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Alpha! ” I was not privileged as to get in to the Betas for Rising Thunder, but I did hear just a little bit about it through the main games media, and I can say im not too surprised Riot put a lid on it for good.

Rising Thunder no more

Rising Thunder has been canned

Darkest Dungeon update brings new class

Posted on March 9, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Darkest Dungon is a site favorite. Many of us have sunk over 100 hours in the game since its first release to early access, and it just keeps getting better. The developers have delivered yes another piece of free DLC in an update on Steam today. The new class, the Antiquarian,  sacrifices almost all of her fighting strength for the opportunity to haul more treasure back to your estate. Sounds a bit like a waste, but I remember plenty of missions where I would want more loot, or better loot from the end boss.

The Division Has The Potential To Get Quite Repetitive

Posted on March 9, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

The Division

Yesterday saw the launch of one of the most anticipated new gaming IPs in some time, Tom Clancy’s The Division. Like many other eager players I set aside time in my schedule to try out the full version of the game after putting several hours into the two betas that Ubisoft held earlier in the year and I was psyched to see what the full version had to offer. I woke up yesterday morning at 4 AM and after a few false starts I’ve logged just over 4 hours in the game as of the writing of this post.Read More
