Earlier today Ubisoft released a trailer announcing the creation of the “Ubisoft Club”. It will be a system spanning across multiple of the publisher’s titles which will allow the player to earn experience and insignias while playing, which can then be turned into rewards for long-time fans.

The trailer promises it will be possible, among other things, for players to earn discounts on other games in the publisher’s catalog, which is certainly a nice reward for loyal fans. Sadly however, this small bit of decent news doesn’t weigh up to the fact that Ubisoft just collectively reminded everyone that Uplay is still a thing. Also not inspiring much confidence that this will be handled better is the trailer encouraging everyone to immediately go to ubisoftclub.com and “level up now”, despite this address not actually functioning. It instead simply informs the viewer that this address “is currently being parked by the owner”. The actual sign-up can be found here instead: https://club.ubi.com/#!/en-GB/login
