Every week new releases hit the store shelves. How do you know which games to pick up? Every so often we here at Broken Joysticks bring you a list of the upcoming titles that will be available at retail. This week sees two huge releases – Snake returns in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Square Enix’s masterpiece Final Fantasy X gets a re-release on the PlayStation 3 and Vita.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360) – $34.99 (Physical Retail Disc)
Big Boss returns in this latest edition of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, sneaking his way on to the next-generation platforms for the first time. Those looking for the full Metal Gear Solid experience might be a little disappointed as Ground Zeroes is a smaller chapter in a larger whole, similar to the Tanker Chapter in MGS2. Set in 1975 Ground Zeroes takes place between Peace Walker and The Phantom Pain. Snake is sent on a mission to rescue Paz and Chico from Camp Omega. This slice of MGS V offers quite a few side missions in addition to a 2 – 3 hour campaign.
