With the end of each month, comes the newest announcement of the next two games that Microsoft will make free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Last month, gamers had the chance to pick up Sleeping Dogs for the first half of January and for the second half the Xbox Live arcade title Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. It seems that Microsoft is starting to turn the tide and are starting to release pretty decent titles for their “Games with Gold” program. February is no exception, but what two games will Xbox Live members get for free this month? Continue reading to find out…

For February, gamers will be able to pick up Dead Island (which is priced around $19.99) from February 1st until February 15th. As for the second half of the month, Toy Soldiers: Cold War (which is priced around $15)will be free from the 16th-28th. You’re talking a total savings of about $35 for the month of February – assuming you don’t own either of these titles.

Here is the descriptions for both games, as posted on Xbox.com:

Dead Island:

A holiday paradise gone mad after a zombie outbreak. The player’s only chance to survive is to escape from the island. Dead Island combines first-person action with a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons. All of these features are presented in a dark zombie story with a campaign that can be played with up to 4 players in co-op mode.

Toy Soldiers: Cold War:

The Cold War is decided when ‘80s era action toys come alive and wage war! Toy Soldiers: Cold War blends intense first person combat with addictive action strategy, whether you’re scrapping solo or jumping into the fray with friends. Battle in campaign, competitive, co-op modes or fight for the highest score in mini-games!

Dead Island is free right now on the marketplace! You can follow this link to its Xbox.com page to add it to your queue.
