Continuing our coverage of the Xbox One launch videos, we have yet another exclusive Xbox One title to show you: Ryse: Son Of Rome. While I don’t want to go as far to say this game is one of the reasons people will buy the Xbox One at launch, I will say that this game is looking fantastic!

Ryse: Son of Rome tells the story of Marius Titus who witnesses the murder of his family at the hands of barbarians. Seeking revenge, Marius joins the Roman army in Britannia and quickly rises through the ranks to become a General. As his war against the barbarians escalates, his quest unravels: to find his vengeance, he has to return to Rome.

Call of Duty Leading Next Gen Sales

With only two more days to go until the launch of the Xbox One, Call of Duty: Ghosts is already emerging as the leading next generation title at retail. Following the release of the new PlayStation 4 in North America on Friday, Call of Duty: Ghosts has quickly become the No. 1 selling title in retail sales on the new platform, as well as the No. 1 pre-reserved Xbox One title, at retailers Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart in North America.

“Call of Duty: Ghosts is the No. 1 best-selling game on PS4 in North America at Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart, and also the No. 1 pre-ordered Xbox One title in North America at those retailers for launch,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. “We couldn’t be more excited about the consumer response as we look forward to this Friday’s release of Xbox One. Players will see all sorts of animals throughout their journey to create one of the best parks on Earth, such as: Lions, Tigers, Bears, Rhinos, Elephants, Giraffes, and so much more. Through the power of the cloud, on the Xbox One version, player’s friends will be able to join in and help maintain their respective parks.

Spike Announces 2013 Video Game Awards Nominations

Spike TV announced the nominees for the tenth annual Video Game Awards, which are being rebranded VGX this year. The show is a brand new live digital multi-platform event which will not be televised live this year but will instead be livestreamed on the internet.

VGX will be streamed across Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Twitch, iOS and Android devices, and will also be available globally on VGXLIVE.com, Hulu, Yahoo Screen, the Yahoo Screen app as well as Spike.com, ComedyCentral.com, MTV.com, MTV2.com, BET.com and GameTrailers.com. VGX will be live streamed for three-hours on Saturday, December 7, beginning at 6:00 PM ET / 3:00 PM PT.

Spike TV will also air highlights of the show as “VGX Replay” on Monday, December 9 at midnight.

VGX will showcase world premiere game trailers but for the first time ever, the show will offer extended demos of the next generation of games, 1-on-1 interviews and panels.

“Spike TV was the first network to embrace the gaming industry. For the last 10 years, the VGAs have honored its creative community and fans,” said Casey Patterson, Executive Vice President, Event Production, Talent Development & Studio Relations, Viacom Entertainment Group. “Until now, we have been limited to TV and a one way conversation with gamers.
