Arriving on December 25th in Japan for an aproximately $5 USD annual fee, gamers will be able to store their Pokémon Black and White (1 and 2 it seems) as well as X and Y to a cloud based service. This is useful for fans who want to use their Black and White Pokémon to X and Y via a feature called “Poké Transporter.”
The Pokémon Bank will allow gamers to store their collection of Pokémon to a cloud with 100 boxes, which totals up to 3000 Pokémon in total. Potentially this will mean you’ll be able to continue moving your Pokémon forward in even further future generations as well, or even possibly use them for other things.
Quite exciting news and it will be interesting to see how this develops.
