Disney Infinity for 3DS Not Looking Good

I can’t say for sure as far as the gameplay goes as we didn’t get our hands on a pre-release copy of Disney Infinity, but the 3DS iteration of the game isn’t looking that great.

The game launches tomorrow on all major consoles including the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U and the Nintendo Wii. The game is a direct competitor to the Skylanders franchise which includes collectible toys which can be placed on a control deck and brought into your video game.

While the game is looking great and seeing a lot of positive words from critics, the 3DS edition is looking like a totally different game and visually seems like an afterthought by the developers. I’ve seen far prettier textures from games.

FIFA 14 Coming to Wii?

EA Sports is bringing the next FIFA game to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next month (plus the Xbox One and PS4 later in the year) but there is no release pending for Nintendo consoles. Or maybe there is?

While there is no mention of the game for Nintendo’s comsoles on EA’s website the game has been rated by the ESRB. FIFA 14 for the Nintendo Wii popped up on the ESRB website today. The game was also given a rating today for PS2, PSP and PS Vita. Could EA Sports be releasing the game on the Wii?

A press release from EA Sports back in June of this year did have mention of the game being released for both the Wii and 3DS, though not for Nintendo’s Wii U console.

CHARTED: Nintendo (Week ending Aug 4th)

The number one game in the world this week is another 3DS game and it’s another Japanese debut. Disney Magic Castle: My Happy Life from Namco Bandai Games debuted in Japan and sold fore than 114,000 copies in the first week.

Animal Crossing is also doing well for Nintendo with the game still at #3 in North America after eight weeks. The game has sold more than 4.5 million copies worldwide so far. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies is #2 in Japan in its second week and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is #3 in its third week.
