Ellen Page, the actress probably best known for roles as Kitty Pride/Shadow Cat in the X-Men franchise and the titular character in Juno is unhappy about her likeness possibly being used for Ellie from Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us. Recently a question about her likeness being used for the initial design of Ellie was brought up during a Reddit AMA (“Ask Me Anything”)

In part the Reddit user asked her what she thought about her likeness possibly being used for the 14-year old heroine. She responded:

” I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness, but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond Two Souls, so it was not appreciated.”

It’s kind of funny that she may have inspired the visual design for a character in a first part title, while at the same time is working alongside Quantic Dream to produce another one of 2013’s highly anticipated titles, Beyond Two Souls.

Ellie’s design was slightly modified after the game was unveiled at the 2011 Spike Video Game awards. At the time Naughty Dog said that the new and improved Ellie was changed in order to better resemble her voice actress, Ashely .

Does the “ripping off” of Ellen Page’s likeness affect your enjoyment of The Last of US? We certainly loved it, awarding the game a 9.5!
