With the 2013 Game Developers Conference (GDC) right around the corner, it seems that Bungie may finally be ready to reveal project “Destiny” to some capacity. Hosting their own presentation dubbed “Brave New World”, Bungie writer/design director Joe Staten and art director Christopher Barrett will finally offer “a glimpse of the brave new world that has been built”.

While some concept art was leaked a while back, not much is known about Destiny. We all have been eager to see what Bungie has been up to since wrapping up with the Halo franchise. Well, we are just a few months away to see what Bungie has been up to.

The GDC schedule details an overview of what the Brave New World presentation will contain:

“Two decades of success in the gaming industry is no small feat, but after ten years of Halo, Bungie found themselves faced with a tremendous challenge: to build a whole new world, filled with even more amazing mysteries, places, creatures, and opportunities for player investment.”

“For the first time ever, Bungie creative directors will discuss their world building techniques, from concept to production. Attendees will walk away with key insights into Bungie’s battle-tested design process. They’ll get a glimpse of the brave new world that has been built, a place where the next ten years of great Bungie adventures will unfold.”

So  yeah, it’s an understatement when I say that we are excited to see what Bungie has been up to. There’s no doubt that Destiny has the potential to be the next Halo franchise. Question is, is Destiny multiplatform, Microsoft exclusive, or a disappointing announcement of a browser based game….

Well, for their sake it better not be the latter…
