Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu promised big Capcom news earlier this week. Well, the ruling is in, and via Andriasang, we know now the magazine has the scoop on the return of gaming’s favorite attorney.

Teased earlier this year, these are the first concrete details on the long in the works sequels. Phoenix Wright returns, as does the trial based gameplay last seen in Apollo Justice Ace Attorney. As speculated, the series will make the jump to 3DS.

It isn’t the only Ace Attorney news coming out of Japan. The magazine’s back cover also teases more information about Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney that hints at a November 29 release date for the crossover.

An actual release date hasn’t been set for either game, outside of a 2012 window for Level 5’s game. It’s a pretty safe bet that we will hear more about both as Tokyo Game Show approaches.

With two new games and the recently announced for American iOS release of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Mr. Wright is coming back in a big way.

And I don’t want to hear any objections.
