Fighting game devolpers Arc System Works are winning over a lot of new fans with their take on the Midnight Channel in Persona 4 Arena but a console release for the return of The Midnight Carnival for Guilty Gear X2 Accent Core Plus is set for October, according to Andriasang.
Originally announced for a summer release, the game’s console homecoming on PSN and XBLA sees the return of Arc System Works’ first fighting game franchise, complete with all the bells and whistles of online play and HD graphics that one expects. But that isn’t all that’s being packed into this package.
Perhaps most excitingly is that Arc System Works plan to release a balance patch that will bring the console release to parity with the upcoming arcade release of Guilty Gear X2 Accent Core Plus R, which has an extensive list of changes and tweaks to the 2008 console release. It also ensure that console Guilty Gear fans aren’t stuck with an outdate version of the game, refreshing considering the high number of releases that revisions of Guilty Gear X2 has seen over the years.
