MMO players mark your calendar as June 8th marks the next public beta weekend for NCSoft’s Guild Wars 2. Thousandds of people who pre-ordered GW2 will be able to enjoy the game’s beta for 48hrs from Noon PST Friday afternoon until midnight Monday morning.
One cool little tidbit that Arena passed along via press release was that existing characters from the last beta event will carry over to the June 11th event.
Describing the Beta Event and what Arena net hopes to gain from the 72 hr test, the developer posted on their blog:
“Your participation is even more important when you consider that we take our beta events very seriously in terms of our development strategy. At ArenaNet, “beta event” means exactly that—it’s a development-centric event in which we test our systems, discover new and exciting bugs, and get pivotal feedback from our testers about what is going in the right direction and what isn’t.”
Guild Wars 2 will release for Windows PC sometime later this year. Perhaps ArenaNet will provide us with a release date at E3 next week?
