Ninja Theory’s take on the Devil May Cry franchise, “DMC: Devil May Cry”, turned a lot of heads when it was unveiled a few years ago. New details surrounding the game’s plot and gameplay came to light at the Captivate ’12 event in Rome this past week.

DmC will take Dante back to his roots as he learns what it means to be the child of a devil and angel. Both of these sides can be called upon allowing him access to varying abilities as well as changing his weapon, the Rebellion Sword.

Capcom had an eight minute playable demo of DMC: Devil May Cry at the Captivate 12 event. Surprisingly the demo has already found its way on to youtube for all to see. The demo’s stage is very similar to previous in-game footage that was released this past December. Dante and a female sidekick are wandering through a Rome-esque city when a demon infection crops out. The demo features Dante kicking ass with flashy jumps, handguns and of course a rocking sound track.

Check out the two part full demo in the embedded player below. I’ve also included the official Captivate trailer for good measure.
